Dr. Li joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering Program at the University of California, Riverside in July 2016.
Prior to joining UCR, Dr. Li worked as a research scientist at the Carnegie Institution of Washington and a joint faculty at the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS), the most intense pulsed neutron source in the world for scientific research, at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
Dr. Li obtained B.Sc. in Physics from Peking University and Ph.D. in Materials Science from California Institute of Technology. After graduation, he worked as a postdoc at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
